Minakshi Thakur

Minakshi Thakur works as Publisher of the Indian language division at Westland, an Amazon company. She has worked for a decade with HarperCollins Publishers India where she was in charge of its imprint for English translations, Harper Perennial, and its Hindi publishing programme.

She is also a bi-lingual poet and writer. Her first book, An Indian Evening, a collection of poems in English, was published by Writers Workshop in 2002. She has since published two collections of Hindi poems: Jab Utthi Yavanika (2003); and Neend Ka Akhiri Pul(2010),which was shortlisted for the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2012. She has been fellow to many international writers writing residencies. Her first novel, Lovers Like You and I, was shortlisted for the Tibor Jones South Asia Prize and published by HarperCollins in 2013, and she is now working on her second novel.
